I am an enrolled agent licensed to represent people before the IRS and any other state or local equivalent agency in the nation. That means I don't need to seek permission from another state in order to represent someone regarding a particular matter. The only thing a tax attorney can do that I can't would be to represent someone in tax court. Considering cases usually don't go to that extent, I don't have to worry as much.
