On the CPA side - a small practice - personal and business tax returns - and as mentioned includes financial planning. Tax prep is commoditized - i want business relationships - the clients stay with us when we can create a bond. We contact our business clients quarterly to check on them and of course we have our monthly and virtual CFO clients we are in close contact with. When the clients are open to it, we discuss financial futures, potential business sales, mergers, retirement planning, etc. Also the management of their resources - creating a "virtual family office" perspective.
